Karim Rammal is a successful, international serial entrepreneur based in New York City with business relationships and interests across Asia and Middle East. 

In 2008 Karim set up Unicorn Consulting and worked on first ever dual-listing between Nasdaq New York and Nasdaq Dubai (formerly named DIFX) with a NY bank.

Karim spent over 12 years with JWT in the United States, Pakistan and Afghanistan as Senior Partner & Senior Consultant at JWT NYC and President WPP Marketing Communications / JWT, Pakistan. He structured JWT’s affiliate presence in Afghanistan in 2003, which grew to a team of 145 employees.

Karim operated his family’s advertising business which was acquired by JWT in 2001. Clients included American Express, HSBC, ABN AMRO Bank, Citibank, Roshan Telecom, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, DeBeers and Pepsi. 

A resident of New York City, Karim earned his BA & BS degrees from Boston University. Karim is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).


Began his banking career with Citibank. Recruited by Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase). Built a half-a-billion dollar global finance organization. He has also founded and built several additional companies and ran a large NYSE company.

Tore now serves as a director on several corporate boards and as an advisor to chief executives.
He is the Chairman of the Advisory Board of World Technology Group, a large Canadian based global franchising company, sits on the Board of Directors and serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board for a Seattle integrated alarm company and a software company.He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), (WPO) (CEO), and a number of other corporate and civic boards.

Tore served in the Royal Norwegian Air Force. After an honorable discharge, he was awarded a scholarship to study in the United States, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and an MBA in finance and international trade and computer science.


Over 25 years of mobile financial services, telcom and operations experience. Most recently, Azad served as a Director in Grameenphone, a Telenor subsidiary, the leading telecom service provider in Bangladesh with 56 million subscribers. He held several positions including Head of Financial Services for payment and transactional services, General Manager; Head of New Initiatives responsible for all non-voice services and strategic projects, and Head of IS/IT Architecture, Business Process & Governance looking after IS/IT investments.

He also served on the board of directors of Tameer Micro-Finance Bank in Pakistan to assist in the launch of the innovative “Easypaisa” Branchless Banking initiative. Prior to Grameenphone, Azad was General Manager at Square, the largest conglomerate in Bangladesh with diversified businesses and his role was to lead the group’s total ICT transformation and the launch of satellite based communication business.

Azad has an Engineering degree, an Executive MBA with a Leadership Diploma from Stockholm School of Economics.
